Become a Certified IASTM Provider

Master Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and deliver better outcomes in pain relief, mobility, and injury recovery.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is one of the most in-demand manual therapy techniques in modern clinical practice — and now you can become a certified IASTM Provider in a single hands-on course.

Whether you’re a licensed clinician looking to offer more effective treatment options or a student building your clinical skill set, this certification gives you the science, the tools, and the protocols to get results from day one.

What is Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)?

IASTM uses precision surgical-grade instruments to detect and treat restrictions in soft tissue — including scar tissue, adhesions, and fascial dysfunction that manual palpation alone can miss.
Originally developed in the early 1990s, IASTM has become a staple in physical therapy, chiropractic, athletic training, and sports medicine practices worldwide. With a growing body of clinical evidence behind it, IASTM is recognized as an effective intervention for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions — helping patients move better, hurt less, and recover faster.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and its techniques involve the comprehensive study of different aspects of soft tissue namely fascia and aponeurotic fascia, endomysium, perimysium, epimysium and adipose tissue and the effects of a specific double or single beveled edge surgical grade instruments that can affect those tissues.

Providers will be given an introduction to IASTM that includes a lecture about the anatomy and physiology of fascial and connective tissue and how it relates to IASTM. Information regarding the history of and latest research on IASTM will also be discussed. Providers will be given a clinical/lab session where they will learn the proper biomechanics and hand holds of IASTM tools. Additionally, providers will be taught on treatment protocols for thirty different diagnoses.
